This section weaves the best of the Norse Sagas into three legendary cycles—Volsung, Tyrfing, and Scylding—that take us from the Gothic steppe of the migration period to the twilight of the Viking age.
This section covers the Ulster and Fenian cycles of Irish heroic literature, alongside the Welsh Mabinogi, taking us from the cattle-raiding chariot culture of the Celtic Iron Age to the Christianization of Ireland.
